Problem Statement
Underserved populations lack access to primary care, resulting in increased reliance on emergency services for preventable health issues and exacerbating healthcare disparities.
Meet the Torres family
Ricardo Torres | 45
Ricardo uses a wheelchair due to a workplace incident. He also has diabetes, which requires regular monitoring and medication.
Maria is overworked, struggling to support her family. Her long hours and the stress of her family’s financial situation has taken a toll on her mental health.

Carlos loves to play basketball, but his asthma makes it difficult for him to keep up with his teammates and friends.

Current Situation
Carlos goes to the YMCA to play basketball.
Carlos has a severe asthma attack.
Maria calls 911 for her son.
Remedy as a Solution
Carlos finds out about Remedy at the YMCA bulletin board, offering low-cost or free services for uninsured patients.
Knowing that his family could use this service, he shares his findings with his parents later that day.
Maria schedules appointments for her and her family.
